A Youth Talent
Contest will be held Thursday, September 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Amphitheater.
Winners in each category will be eligible to compete in the Arkansas State Fair
Youth Talent Contest in October in Little Rock.
RULES
-
Official age limits are from ten
to twenty, inclusive.

Contestants must be single and
never been married or have had children.

No one contestant will be
permitted to enter in more than one class except with groups of five or more.

Instrumentalists should bring
their own instruments. There will not be a piano
available. If an accompanist is required, contestants must make their
arrangements. Contestants must furnish their own cassette tapes or CD’s.
Tapes should have only the music for performance on the tape and should be
taped on Side 1 or Side A. Any act that has more than the music
needed for that act’s performance will be automatically disqualified.
It is recommended that contestants using tapes bring a second tape as a
back up in case of emergency. All tapes should be of good quality and cued in
advanced.

All talent competition numbers
must not be more than 3 minutes in length. Dress is optional and contestants
are free to choose what they desire to wear while performing but dress should
be in “good taste”.

There is an entry fee of $5.00
for each entry.

Deadline for entry is Monday,
September 19. All entries accepted after this time will be charged a $10.00
penalty.

Categories are: Vocal Solo, Vocal Group, Dance Solo, Dance Group,
Instrumental Solo, Variety
9. First place winners in each
category will be eligible to compete in the Arkansas State Fair Youth Talent
Contest in Little Rock in October. One overall winner will be selected and will
receive a cash award of $100.00.

2005 Izard County Fair
Pageants—Dept. 25
The Izard county Fair Pageant will be held Friday,
September 23, and Saturday, September 24 beginning each night at 6:00 p.m. at
the Izard County Fairgrounds amphitheater in Melbourne. Dressing space will be
limited. Contestants only will be admitted free at the gate.
Rules:
1.
Contestants may not enter a division in
which they have previously won first place.
2.
Contestants must have never been married nor
have had children.
3.
Contestants must live in Izard County or
attend school full time in Izard
County.
Photogenic:
To enter the photogenic division, you must submit
a photo no smaller than 3x5” and no larger than an 8x10”.
It must be in clear binders with name, age, and
division on the back.
Photos may be picked up the night of the pageants.
Photogenic fee is $10.00 per entry.
Photogenic entries must be received by September
19, 2005. No late entries will be accepted.
